Kwik-Fit Financial Services managing director
After 14 years climbing the ladder at Kwik-Fit Financial Services June Lynch took over the role of managing director in January this year.
It was just six months after the Uddingston company had been taken over by insurance giant Ageas.
And trained accountant Lynch was put in charge of more than 1300 staff across the main KFFS brand, the specialist Express Insurance arm and The Green Insurance Company.
However even though the overall owners may have changed Lynch is keen to make sure people still get the same chances she did.
She said: "Our people are central to everything we do. I've been fortunate enough to move through the ranks at KFFS, starting in the finance team in 1997 and taking advantage of the opportunities to develop my career here, so I'm keen to ensure others get the same opportunities.
"I think that's important in a call centre environment, where it can be easy to accept high staff attrition as a fact of life."
As part of that Lynch has worked on several projects to improve staff development and enhance customer service.
With employee turnover at a record low it seems to be working.
As well as that she is focusing on growing the business in the long term.
She added: "Under the new Ageas ownership we can really develop as a business. The support they provide is fantastic and the ability to link with people in our own sector has really added value.
"We have developed a multi-product, multi-brand business model and we are excited about the potential for the business over the longer term."
Outside of work she spends her time with her husband and three boys.
