British Isles' destinations dominate the world's top 10 literary spots in a list compiled by Trip Advisor website.
The influence of literary giants such as Shakespeare, Dickens and Sir Walter Scott led to the travel website's editors pushing UK and Ireland destinations to the fore.
The top spot was London, followed by Shakespeare's birthplace Stratford upon-Avon with Edinburgh third and Dublin fourth. Other destinations in the literary top 10 include New York, Paris and Rome.
