Mid-EAST airline Etihad is to expand its London to Abu Dhabi service.

In October, the carrier will increase the number of flights to Heathrow from 17 a week to 21.

Etihad already operates a daily service between Manchester and its home base of Abu Dhabi.

The airline said demand for flights between the UAE and the UK had grown during the past 12 months with more than 306,000 passengers travelling on its Heathrow route and 146,000 on the Manchester service.
