In brief...: Brits ignore credit fears

Most Britons are determined to go ahead with holiday travel plans despite the credit crunch, according to a survey.

And many are still keen to go to Europe even though the pound is weak against the euro, the survey from travel website Kayak.co.uk found. But there is a trend for people to cut down on eating out abroad and to take fewer items away with them to avoid paying excess baggage fees, the survey also found.

Nearly three-quarters of those polled said they would not be deterred from travelling to Europe.
