In brief...: Paris place to pop question

Paris is the place to pop the question, with the Eiffel Tower being seen as the best spot in Europe to propose.

The French landmark pipped the London Eye - which was second - in aproposal table compiled by travel website TripAdvisor.

Oia, on the Greek island of Santorini, was the third best proposal spot, followed by the Alhambra in Granada, Spain.

Italy had three entries in the top 10-with Venice's canals in fifth place, the Trevi Fountain in Rome in eighth position and the Piazzale Michelangelo in Florence 10th.
