The Maldives will remain the top choice for a long-haul holiday in 2008 - closely followed by Thailand and the US, says leading long-haul operator Kuoni Travel.
Its Longhaul Report says other star destinations in the next year could include India, with an annual rise on bookings of 30 per cent, South Africa (up 14 per cent) and Bali, which is enjoying a "welcome resurgence".
There could also be rising demand for "alternative Africa", in the wake of the Kenyan disturbances.
