British travellers are more likely to be satisfied with their holiday packages from a small, independent operator, rather than the "Big Two" firms of Thomas Cook and TUI Travel, claims Holiday Which? magazine.
But with Brits making around 70 million trips abroad each year and splashing out £35billion-plus on their travels, many travellers might have little idea about the size of their tour operator.
The division between big operators and small has become hopelessly blurred by numerous takeovers which have left many firms closely intertwined.
