In brief...: 1m airline tickets sale
Irish regional airline Aer Arann, which flies to Edinburgh, Glasgow Prestwick and Inverness, has announced one million seats for sale in January.
The offer includes flights from Edinburgh to Cork or Galway from just £29 one-way, including taxes, and Manchester - one of Aer Arann's largest hubs - to Galway or Kerry from £25.
"The Aer Arann 1,000,000 seat sale is the perfect answer to getting away from the looming January gloom," says Colin Lewis, head of sales and marketing.
The fast-growing airline carries over 1.15 million customers per year
