Just 52 per cent of men as opposed to 75 per cent of females have been on single-sex trips, the survey from travel website Kayak.co.uk found.
Hen parties and stag dos were the main reason for such trips, with "big city nightlife" the main attraction.
Just five per cent of lads were keen on a gambling holiday, it said.
