In brief...: Helpdesk launched for SMEs

A lifeline offering practical advice and support to SME managements on everyday challenges has been launched by an Aberdeenshire business consultancy.

OwnAsolution has set up a management helpdesk giving practical day-to-day advice on issues such as job offer letters, job descriptions, appraisal, interviewing techniques and grievance procedures as well as guides and forms covering control of contractors.

Proprietor Ona Ramsay said: "I identified a gap in the marketplace for OwnAsolution's new management helpdesk as I witnessed many SMEs not getting the practical help they required on management issues.

"This is bite sized information at a bite size price. Many firms are not in a position to employ a full-time consultant or a member of staff to carry out this role, which led us to launch this new service.

"Our helpdesk acts as a one-stop shop - like having access to an experienced manager who you can ask for advice."

OwnAsolution's annual fee for the service is £420 and includes access to informative guides and forms that help to manage the company.
