In brief...: BITE makes move to mall

Scottish sportswear retailer ITE is relocating from Glasgow's trendy Byres Road to the Braehead shopping centre.

The new flagship store represents an investment of £250,000 by taking 2,000 sq ft, making it the largest BITE store in the group.

Bite stocks premium trainer brands such as Oakley, VANS, Merrell, O'neill and Animal, aimed at the 16 to 35 age group. The store will open on November 3 and will be the first Vans concept store in the UK.

"We have taken time to strategically re-position BITE, an up market brand to be found in the larger style shopping mall format," said BITE director Mark McGowan.

"This new store effectively relocates our Byres Road store to the environment we require to progress BITE growth and development."
