Andrew MacLean named senior international commercial manager and David Purdie international commercial manager
HSBC has created two new senior roles at its west of Scotland business.
Andrew MacLean has been appointed as the bank's senior international commercial manager and David Purdie as international commercial manager, both based in Glasgow.
MacLean joins HSBC from Clydesdale Bank, where he held the role of managing partner in charge of a commercial banking and private banking team.
Purdie has been with HSBC for the past 12 years, working across mortgages, lending and commercial banking, and most recently lead the Scottish team supporting businesses with turnover of up to £2 million.
David Scott, HSBC's area commercial director for the west of Scotland, said: “We acknowledge that our skilled staff coupled with our international expertise place us well in the market and we continue to invest in our team to ensure we’re seizing each and every opportunity to attract new SME customers to HSBC.
“The sustained growth in business has required us to increase our resources to ensure we have the capacity and capability to meet the needs of all our clients.
“We are delighted to have attracted both Andrew and David, and these appointments will ensure that our clients continue to experience the high level of service they come to expect from HSBC."
