Dundee-based firm said turnover rose 2% last year to £13.1m
Dundee-headquartered law firm Thorntons LLP has reported a two per cent rise in turnover and 15 per cent rise in operating profits for the 2012 year.
The firm, which has offices in Dundee, Perth, Arbroath, Forfar and Edinburgh, said turnover rose to £13.1 million last year, up from £12.8 million in 2011.
Accounts filed with Companies House show operating profits rose to £2.55 million last year, and profit before members' remuneration and profit share rose 16 per cent to £2.59 million.
Thorntons reports 29 members who share in the firms' overall profits, and the highest paid member received £125,799 last year, up from £107,538 the previous year.
The firm's cash holdings rose from £735,906 at the 2011 year end to £1.14 million at the year ending May 31, 2012.
Thorntons ended the 2012 financial year with 221 staff, five fewer than the previous year, with 110 client service staff and 111 support staff.
