Nick Kemp and Omar Ali join the energy and natural resource team as associates
Harper Macleod has added two associate lawyers to its energy and natural resource team.
The appointments of Nick Kemp and Omar Ali takes the team to twelve full time energy lawyers, supported by nine additional partners.
Kemp brings more than seven years experience working with landowners of all sizes, from individual crofters and small estates, to entire island communities and will be assisting them in developing opportunities arising from renewable energy.
Ali also has over seven years experience working in the energy sector and spent time on secondment with Scottish Power.
Harper Macleod partner, David Bone, who heads up the energy and natural resource division, said: “The renewable energy industry continues to buck the economic gloom and doom and our team has grown to meet the needs of our new and existing clients.
“Nick’s knowledge and insight of the crofting community is crucial, in what is a specialist area of the market, while Omar has experience of working on some of the UK’s largest wind farm developments and both will make telling contributions to our team.”
