In brief...: Firm leaves historic office

Law firm Murray Beith Murray has left its home for the past 160 years to go to a new office.

The building at 39 Castle Street in Edinburgh was originally built for Sir Walter Scott as a family home in the early 19th century.

Now the firm has sold the historic building to a property development company and is moving to Glenfinlas Street.

Chief executive Roderick Wylie said: "It will be sad to leave given the firm's historic connection with 39 Castle Street but factors like growth of business and our use of modern technology necessitated the move."
