In brief...: Advocates team spots market gap

Murray Stable has formed a new team of advocates to meet the demand for specialist advice emanating from the credit crunch and the enveloping recession in the commercial and domestic property sectors.

The Commercial and Insolvency Group has been formed to fill the gap in available legal services for the insolvency professions and the wider community in Scotland, and will provide advice and advocacy on commercial and insolvency matters.

Operating as part of the innovative Murray Stable of Advocates, the team will be composed of nine advocates.

Murray Stable practice manager, Iain Murray, said: "The demand for expertise in the commercial and insolvency areas has increased and the legal and accounting professions have undoubtedly become more discerning."
