In brief...: Seminar on safety law
Dla Piper Scotland is hosting seminars to mark the introduction of the Corporate Manslaughter and Corporate Homicide Act.
The new law comes into place from April 6 and is the biggest change in health and safety law for more than 30 years.
Firms found guilty of corporate homicide can receive an unlimited fine based on turnover and may be forced to publish details of their conviction. The Edinburgh seminar takes place on April 1 with the Glasgow event following on April 3.
