In brief...: Professor Murray's joy
Chartered accountant Norman Murray has been appointed an honorary professor of Heriot-Watt University.
The former president of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland is currently chairman of Cairn Energy and non-executive director of Greene King and Robert Wiseman Dairies.
He said: "I hope that this honour will allow me to play a small part by passing on some of my practical experience of business to students."
