In brief...: Supper night charity boost

Scotland's largest independent firm of chartered accountants raised £16,000 for charity at a specially themed Burns Supper.

Campbell Dallas held the Fat Bob 'n' Soapy Soutar's Braw Burns Supper in the Trades Hall in Glasgow.

It was based around DC Thomson characters with proceeds going to the Variety Club of Scotland and Kidney Kids Scotland.

Jim Campbell, senior partner, said: "We always tend to choose local children's charities and are delighted this year has proved even more successful."

Since the Supper started five years ago almost £75,000 has been raised for various children's charities.
