In brief...: Maria helps with design

Sony Ericsson has unveiled a new range of mobile phone accessories which were designed with help from top tennis star Maria Sharapova.

The collection is made up of a selection of cases and bags to hold a mobile, including a tough, sporty case for use at the tennis court, a case to hold a mobile during a gym workout and a small party bag.

Sharapova said: "Working on this collection was an opportunity that I could not turn down. I wanted to add my touch to each item. People want style, fashion and glamour, and with this collection I know that they'll have it."

The products will be available from July onwards.
