Winners will be announced at gala dinner at Glasgow Hilton Hotel on Wednesday April 24, 2013
Entries are now being invited for the prestigious Scotland plc Awards, which recognise the achievements of the country’s corporate community.
The awards, which are held by Scottish Business Insider in partnership with leading accountancy firm PwC, feature some exciting new changes to give more companies the opportunity to participate in the awards.
All the winners will receive their awards at a gala dinner on Wednesday April 24, 2013, at the Glasgow Hilton Hotel.
This year private companies will be able to enter three of the categories for the first time. They are:
The Digital Excellence Award
The winner of this award will be able to demonstrate excellence in the strategic use of digital communications solutions and how it has been used to transform operations and give measurable business benefits.
The Global Reach Award
The winner of this award will be a company that has extended its global footprint during 2012. It will be able to demonstrate a strong and growing presence in overseas markets as evidenced through sales, operations and recruitment.
The Sustainability Award
The winner of this award will be a company that can show a consistent commitment to social and environmental improvements as part of its economic strategy.
For more details on the criteria and how to enter the three above awards go to the Scotland plc Awards website, which can be found here.
Entrants must commit to a site visit should they make the short list.
Insider is also once again inviting all companies to enter the Social Investment in Scotland Award. This award takes into account activities such as investment in communities; sponsorship; employee volunteering; executives acting as board members of organisations acting for the public good; and charitable giving.
It is open to all Scottish headquartered companies but also to non Scottish-headquartered companies with a major presence north of the border to acknowledge their achievements. This reflects the fact that many of Scotland’s biggest employers are headquartered in England or overseas but their contribution to the country is perhaps not always appreciated.
The judges will be looking at activities between January 2012 and December 2012. Companies wishing to enter this category can download an entry form here.
The other awards are:
Plc of the Year
