Iberia Express has started flying its new Edinburgh-Madrid route this coming July via code-sharing with Iberia and British Airways.
The airline has launched the twice weekly service offering promotional tickets starting at £80.00 one way.
During July the flights will operate using an Airbus A320 aircraft on Fridays and Sundays, moving to Thursdays and Sundays from August.
Jim OSullivan, Chief Executive said: We are delighted with this new service from Iberia Express. Not only does it increase our services to the Spanish capital but it opens our connectivity from Madrid to South America, giving Scotland more worldwide choices.
Edinburgh makes a total of six European routes for the airline on its summer schedule, with the others being Dublin, Naples, Riga, Mikonos, and Amsterdam.
