Aileen Brown takes role on the board after taking up finance role in January

Braveheart Investment Group has appointed Aileen Brown as a new director to its board.

Brown was appointed as chief financial officer of the group with effect from January 9, 2012.

She will also act as a director of certain group companies and as company secretary to the group.

She qualified as a chartered accountant in 1991 and has previously held roles with Ernst & Young, Thus, Lothian University Hospitals NHS Trust and Stoddard International.

Brown is also currently a director of Maryville Associates, listed as a Linlithgow-based business and management consultancy.

Geoffrey Thomson, chief executive of Braveheart, said: I am delighted that Aileen has been appointed to the board. Her experience will be a great asset to the group.
