New appointment for Weber Shandwick boss
The executive chair of Weber Shandwick in the UK has been appointed as vice president of British Chambers of Commerce.
Nora Senior said part of the role will involve fighting for the interests of Scottish businesses across Britain.
She said: "I am delighted to have accepted the appointment. I have been a strong supporter of the Chamber of Commerce movement for many years, including as vice-chair of the Scottish Chambers.
"I bring to this role experience of business in Scotland and across the regions of the UK, along with a longstanding commitment to the promotion of women in business; my appointment serves to emphasise the breadth and diversity of the Chamber of Commerce network across Britain.
Mike Salter, chief executive of Scottish Chambers of Commerce, said: "As vice-chair of the Scottish Chambers, Nora brings the voice of Scottish business to the British network.
"Her appointment demonstrates the importance of Scotland within the UKs business community."
