Scottish Borders site will cost £38.6m
Barclays Corporate is helping fund a 28.6 megawatt wind farm.
The Drone Hill site, in the Scottish Borders, is owned by AES Wind Generation.
Barclays is providing a £22.8 million project finance loan and AES equity of £15.8 million.
AES has agreed a 15-year off take contract with European utility Statkraft.
Ally Scott, managing director of Barclays Corporate Scotland, said: "We are delighted to have executed this transaction for a key relationship client.
"Barclays has played a major role in supporting high quality renewable developers for over a decade. This deal demonstrates our continuing and active role in financing the onshore wind sector in Scotland."
Building work starts this month with the site operational by August next year and providing enough electricity for the equivalent of 14,000 homes.
