Jobs boost at firm
Arcadion has created 49 jobs in the last two months after securing contracts with Apache North Sea and Shell.
The deals involve refurbishing offshore accommodation facilities for the oil and gas firms to give workers a more comfortable standard of living.
The Apache agreement alone is worth £7.5 million and covers its Alpha, Bravo, Charlie and Echo platforms while the Shell work involves the overhaul of 28 cabins.
The company now employs 55 people.
Technical director Clive Gregory said: "I'm absolutely delighted with what we have accomplished in this short time.
"I'm proud to work alongside a team with such an incredible range of energy industry experience. We are looking forward to a long relationship with both Apache and Shell.
"Our focus is on maximising the clients return on investment. We try to maximise the persons on board, improve catering facilities and enhance the quality of employee life.
"The work we do directly impacts on worker's welfare. This type of refurbishment makes the offshore experience more pleasant. We try to provide the customer with a place they want to return to.
"We want to improve bed and breakfast level accommodation to attractive hotel quality. On all of our new contracts, for example, we will be installing Sky TV into the foot of each bunk."
