330 jobs would be created if plans approved
Supermarket chain Morrisons has submitted plans for a new superstore in Fife which it says would bring 330 new jobs to the local area.
The £25 million development proposal, at the site of the former B&Q store in Invertiel, Kirkcaldy includes a foodstore, petrol station and car park.
Plans have now been submitted to Fife Council in a joint application made by Optimisation Developments and Invertiel Developments.
If planning is approved, the developers hope to complete the development next year.
Joe Noble of Invertiel Developments said: "Kirkcaldy continues to suffer from the recession and the new jobs which will be created will provide a much needed boost to the town where unemployment levels remain high."
