Semiconductor firm takes 6,100 sq.ft on 10-year lease
Global semiconductor manufacturer Broadcom has taken 6,100 sq. ft of office space at the Westport 102 development in Edinburgh’s Exchange District.
Broadcom has signed a 10-year lease with break option at year five for 6,135 sq ft on the 5th floor of the Grade A development.
The financial details have not been disclosed.
The company will now relocate 28 staff from its previous premises at MWB Business Centre on St Andrew Square in Edinburgh.
Broadcom joins current tenants Quayle Munro and Sainsbury's in the seven-floor Westport development.
Peter I'Anson, partner at property firm Ryden, said: “This letting follows on the heels of the earlier success of Quayle Munro and Sainsbury.
“Broadcom is an important letting for the building cementing the quality of the space and the owner’s ability to react and deliver competitive deals to occupiers.”
Westport 102 has floor space available ranging from 6,000 sq. ft to 70,000 sq. ft on rents ranging from £20 per sq ft rising throughout the building to £26 per sq. ft.
