Yamaha specialist signs up for larger unit
Carrick Motorcycles has signed up to move into larger premises.
The Yamaha dealership has taken a 15-year lease on 4,450 square feet at Abbeyhill Industrial Estate on an annual rental of £30,000.
The company is relocating from a smaller site Leith Links and will hire two new sales staff as a result of the move.
Russ Manson, owner of Carrick Motorcycles, said: "Abbeyhill offers a quality unit, offering a showroom frontage for our motorcycles and clothing, combined with a mechanical workshop at the rear.
"The prominent location and accessibility for our customers were the main driving factors for selecting this location."
Jones Lang LaSalle represented landlord Joint Properties while Carrick represented itself.
Kirsty Palmer, associate director of Jones Lang LaSalle’s Edinburgh office, said: "Due to the superb location of this estate, we received a number of enquiries for this unit, which is just off Edinburgh’s London Road.
"We are delighted to welcome a well-established and ambitious local tenant like Carrick Motorcycles to the estate."
