Firm to build extension
Clark Contracts has won a £1.5 million project to extend a primary school.
Work at Doune Primary includes a single storey extension housing two classrooms, new admin and staff facilities, a new main entrance and refurbishment of the existing building.
The contract, awarded by Stirling Council, is expected to be completed by the end of November.
Gordon Cunningham, managing director of Clark Contracts, said: "We are looking forward to getting started on site.
"We will be working through part of the contract when the school is open and so, the safety of staff, pupils and the public is, of course, of paramount importance.
"We will draw on extensive previous experience to ensure the school operates safely through the duration of our works."
