Share sell-off hits Game despite big releases

VIDEO games retailers Game fell victim to a stock market sell-off yesterday despite a run of hit releases this year.

The firm fell as much as 12 per cent as analysts voiced fears that Game could face tougher competition in a more challenging environment for retailers.

Game - buoyed by Nintendo's Wii Fit and Grand Theft Auto IV, above - have so far avoided high street gloom. Shares have risen 62 per cent in the past 12 months.
