In brief...: Optos unveils new eye software

Medical technology firm Optos has launched an upgraded software package for customers.

The package, called V2 Vantage Dx, allows less distortion when performing retinal scanning and enhanced educational tools to inform patients.

Optos's annual upgrades are designed to keep customers on the cutting edge of retinal imaging and practice technologies.

Thomas W Butts, chief executive officer, said: "It is critical that our customers are kept current and refreshed - this new software raises the clinical utility of their patient offering."
