Freelancers trade body the Professional Contractors Group has launched an initiative to encourage best practice among recruitment agencies.

The AgencyWatch scheme, in partnership with website Hirescores.com, invites PCG members to give feedback and rate their experience of using agencies.

Rankings will be displayed online to help identify the best performers.

John Brazier, managing director of PCG, said: "PCG continuously strives to provide its members with support that will help them to develop."

Lisette Howlett, managing director and founder of HireScores.com, said: "The site isn't about naming and shaming. In fact, recruitment firms are excited about letting their performance speak for itself."
