In brief...: First chief at exchange

The Scottish Parliament and Business Exchange has appointed a new chief executive.

Arthur McIvor, currently a consultant for firms including Kwik-Fit Financial and Baker Tilly, takes over from interim director Devin Scobie on January 7.

The role will focus on encouraging more businesses and MSPs to get involved in the charity.

Lynda Gauld, convener of the Exchange, said: "The Exchange is delighted to welcome Arthur McIvor as its first ever chief executive. Arthur has an impressive track record in business, having worked as a manager and consultant with some of Scotland's best-known companies."
