Edinburgh site will also have a cafe
Hotel Chocolat will create six new jobs when it opens its first Scottish outlet next month.
The chocolatier and cocoa growing company is spending around £200,000 on the shop and cafe on Frederick Street in Edinburgh.
It will be the first Hotel Chocolat featuring the Coffee Vs Cocoa Bar concept.
Customers can choose whether to have hot drinks prepared with freshly roasted coffee or cocoa beans.
Angus Thirlwell, chief executive, said: "By using our new roasting techniques, we have succeeded in capturing the amazingly fresh and invigorating flavours of the whole cocoa bean, which puts it firmly on a par withcoffee.
"What's more, cocoa is high in anti-oxidants, caffeine and trace minerals and, unless otherwise stated, all the cocoa is from our own Rabot Estate plantation in Saint Lucia."
The Edinburgh store opens on December 15.
