New appointments at drinks firm
Drambuie has appointed two new board members following the retirement of non-executive chairman Richard Stone.
Brendan O'Neill, former ICI chief executive and current CBI board member, takes up a non-executive director role with responsibility for the audit and remuneration committees.
Also joining the board as a director is Jonathan Brown who has been with Drambuie since 1994 filling a number of roles including regional sales director posts in Europe and Asia.
The company has also confirmed Phil Parnell, current executive chairman, will become non-executive chairman in January next year.
As a result Michael Kennedy will move up from managing director to chief executive officer.
Parnell said: "With Richard Stone’s retirement earlier this year, it was important to bring an independent non-executive director onto the board and we are very pleased to be able to attract such a high-calibre individual such as Brendan O’Neill to Drambuie.
"Michael has played a significant role in the revival of Drambuie's fortunes in the past six years and is ideally placed to take the business forward over the next phase of its development.
"In Jonathan we have a terrific brand ambassador who is passionate about Drambuie and who ably represents the brand at home and abroad."
