Glasgow-based company said sales up 23% on the back on new business wins
Electronics and IT equipment supply firm Maxiim Ltd has reported pre-tax profits nearly doubled in the 2013 year to May 31 as turnover rose 23 per cent to £11.2 million.
The Glasgow-based company, a distributor of mobile IT equipment, satellite navigation systems and mobile and consumer electronics, said pre-tax profits for the year rose to £404,142 (2012: £217,804).
Operating profits were up 81 per cent on the previous year to £401,601 (2012: £221,009).
Maxxim said it is continuing to focus on the development of a bespoke online offering, which it said will “provide good income streams in the year's to come”.
The company said turnover and profits were up as a result of its 'drop ship' sales management platform, which has helped to bring in new retailers and manufacturers.
