The Royal Bank of Scotland should have postponed all bonuses until it was back in profit, say the majority of our readers.

Last week the bank announced it was handing out £1.6billion in bonuses with chief executive Stephen Hester arguing that they were needed to retain talented investment bankers. However, some 82 per cent of voters disagreed with him.

Tourism is one of our biggest industries employing more than 210,000 people in 20,000 businesses. It receives support through the publicly-funded VisitScotland but in future years, its budget could be reduced. So our question this week is whether VisitScotland should be protected from big budget cuts to enable it to provide much needed support for the tourism industry?
