BDO team braving chills for homeless

Technology experts from accountancy firm BDO Stoy Hayward are preparing to brave the autumn chills to raise money for homeless children.

A team will sleep rough in Edinburgh next Friday as part of Scotland's first Byte Night.

Technology specialists from around the country will spend the night in Holyrood Park, Edinburgh, in support of Action for Children.

Msp Frank McAveety will be among those bedding down for the evening. Gary Drennan, BDO Stoy Hayward's Scottish head of technology, media and telecommunications, said: "Byte Night celebrates its 10th anniversary this year, but this is the first time an event has been held in Scotland.

"We're hoping it will prove to be a huge success and one night of discomfort is nothing when you consider what homeless kids have to go through."

The BDO team hopes to raise £2,500 and anyone wishing to support them can login to www.justgiving.com/bdotmtbytenight
