Italy is longer in queuing up

The British are famed for their love of queuing, but a survey conducted by the European chapter of the Mystery Shopping Practitioners Association found that Italy has the longest queues and Russia the slowest.

Mystery shoppers from 24 countries joined queues in shops and banks to see how long the average customer had to wait in a queue.

The survey looked at efforts by staff to reduce queue lengths and how well the customer was served when, eventually, they reached the front.
