Degree nod for BP's Mayson
A rather fetching purple gown was the fashion of choice for Howard Mayson of BP this week.
Rather than auditioning for a part in the latest Harry Potter film, it was something a bit more serious. On Monday, the vice president of technology at the oil giant was awarded an honorary degree at Heriot Watt University.
The Doctor of Engineering he received was in recognition for his work supporting the management and development of the Institute of Petroleum Engineering at the university.
