Burness boss in festival mood

The Glastonbury festival might not initially seem the most obvious place for a self confessed middleaged lawyer.

But Philip Rodney, chairman of Burness, was among the thousands who attended the event at the end of last month.

When quizzed, he picked out Fun Lovin' Criminals as his favourite because "they are such a good festival band."

Other personal highlights included Eddy Grant, but he left Amy Winehouse's slot after a few songs because it was "sad and quite disappointing."

There was even time for Rodney to fit in a bit of celebrity spotting.

During the Ting Tings' performance he managed to bump into AndrewMarr who was also enjoying the festival.

However, there are some perks to being alawyer at a festival.

Rather than taking his chances with a tent and a field full of mud, Rodney had hired a camper van to stay in.

The verdict on the eco-friendly waterless urinals at the site was not quite so good.

He said: "They are definitely not the way forward."
