Sports quiz pays off

in association with Henderson

Law firm HBJ Gateley Wareing has helped raise £74,000 for charity through its annual sporting quiz.

The Sportsquest 2008 event saw more than 700 guests from across the Scottish business world descend on the Edinburgh International Conference Centre.

The Question of Sport-style challenge, now in its 11th year, was hosted by pundit and former Scotland striker Alan McInally. The cash raised is being split equally between Edinburgh Headway Group and Children's Aid Scotland.

Malcolm McPherson, senior partner at HBJ Gateley Wareing, said: "It is fantastic to have raised such a substantial sum of money for such worthy causes.

"Sportsquest is a great event, which has grown to become a key fixture in the Scottish business calendar, and we look forward with relish to next year."
