Pedalling power for First's charity

No this isn't the launch picture for transport giant First's expansion into pedal power.

Instead the company is promoting its Monster Challenge and roped in Nell McAndrew and Ben Fogle to help.

The gruelling event sees teams of four cycling and running a 120km course around the banks of Loch Ness on September 13.

Gentler events, called First Mini Monsters, are also being run around the country, including Glasgow, to raise money for Save the Children. Fogle said: "I am very fortunate to be in a position to persuade people that exercise is important and can be fun.

"FirstGroup is putting on fantastic events throughout the country."

McAndrew helped her team to third place last year and said: "It truly is a fantastic course and I thoroughly enjoyed the 2007 event."
