What are the parallels between starting a business and playing professional football? Both may lead to big salaries, fast cars and expensive divorces. Or either may lead to sitting on the sidelines while watching the competition take the advantage.

Former Sunderland player Warren Hawke figures he's learned a few things and now works for players union the PFA Scotland overseeing its commercial activities. That's why he will be making a guest appearance at 'Elevator,' a free business networking club for young people in Glasgow. The event is on February 18 at Sloans Bar & Restaurant, Argyll Arcade.
