Operating profits up at Murgitroyd Group

Glasgow patent and trade mark attorney predicts good growth prospects

PATENT and trade mark attorney Murgitroyd Group saw operating profits grow by 6.3 per cent last year to £3.2m as it benefited from acquisitions.

Chairman Ian Murgitroyd said the outlook for patents and trade marks remained positive.

Despite an uncertain global economic environment the Glasgow company remained confident of its ability to generate continued steady growth and value for shareholders.

The company which has 12 offices in the UK and mainland Europe as well as US sales office in Carolina employs 226 staff including 65 qualified attorneys.

Investors will receive a final divided of 6.5p a share.
