Recruitment firm's double joy at industry awards bash
Scotland's largest recruitment agency has picked up the industry's biggest gong.
Search was named Large Agency of the Year at the My Key Pay Scottish Recruitment Awards 2008.
And there was a second success for Search when its office services division was named Recruitment Team of the Year.
The awards followed Search's success in breaking through the £100million turnover mark last year.
Stirling-based construction industry recruitment specialist Contract Scotland won Small/Medium Agency of the Year.
Judges said its work with asylum seekers and ex-offenders made it a worthy winner of the award.
Christine Knox, of HR Consultancy, won Recruitment Consultant of the Year (permanent) while Tori McDonald, from the same agency, scooped Recruitment Consultant of the Year (temporary).
McDonald impressed the judges for going from being a trainee to a top biller in only two years. Knox began her career with HR as a receptionist and wowed judges with her move to being a top-of-the-field insurance industry specialist.
The Most Successful Newcomer Agency Award went to Hamilton-based One Recruitment Associates, who edged out Ultimate Resourcing for the prize.
One Recruitment, founded in 2006, was the first consultancy in the UK to offer online interviewing which enables clients to see first-stage interviews with candidates.
Newcomer Consultant of the Year was Rebecca Williamson of Staffinders.
