Dragons' Den star features on new site
A new recruitment site will put candidates through a grilling from celebrity entrepreneurs such as Duncan Bannatyne and Ruth Badger.
Jobsite launched BeMyinterviewer.co.uk to offer jobseekers interview practice with leading business bosses and HR managers.
It currently features more than 100 streamed videos of interview questions with Dragons' Den star Bannatyne and Badger asking questions like, "Tell me about your biggest failure" and "Why should I employ you?"
Other bosses involved include Jacqueline Gold of Ann Summers and Knickerbox, Kirsty MacCulloch of Hobsons/GET and Andy Hart of Associated Northcliffe Digital.
New questions and business leaders are expected to be added to the site every month.
The question and answer video format offers explanations on why certain questions are asked and ways to answer.
The site also allows users to search for jobs and share concerns in an interview surgery.
It comes after a recent Jobsite survey found an inability to sell yourself at interview is costing the UK £2.3 billion in pay increases.
Recruiters are losing thousands of hours of time on candidates who need to improve their techniques before they can get a placement.
Keith Potts, CEO of Jobsite, said: "Millions of job interviews will take place in the UK in 2008. BeMyInterviewer is for everyone who wants to succeed at interviews and is a great free service for recruiters to use to help candidates prepare for their next interview.
"We hope BeMyInterviewer will improve jobseeker confidence and in turn help recruiters to put better prepared candidates forward."
In a separate development Jobsite has also acquired specialist portal Oilcareers.com.
Under the terms of the deal the site, which has 285,000 unique visitors each month and a database of 220,000 CVs, will continue to be managed and based in Aberdeen.
Potts said: "By combining the existing team at Oilcareers.com with the Jobsite infrastructure and resources, the company has the opportunity to accelerate its rapid growth."
