Enterprise 250 Awards

SCOTLAND’S mid-sized companies are outperforming their bigger brothers in the Top 500, according to Insider’s latest Enterprise 250 survey, (2006).

The inaugural Scottish Business Insider and Scott-Moncrieff Enterprise 250 Awards have been created to significantly reward and recognise the valuable contributions that Scotland’s SME’s have on the economy.

Enterprise 250 is a survey which monitors the performance of companies with turnover between £5m and £15m. The list only includes companies which are Scottish owned and headquartered in Scotland and generate 90% of their turnover in the area. It clearly shows that the country’s home-grown entrepreneurs can punch their weight (see below for some e250 facts).

Since last year's survey there have been a number of success stories.

The Awards recognise exceptional achievement by the Scottish companies and the people driving Scotland’s SME sector forward.

The Awards will be presented at a high quality dinner by not only the companies involved in the deals but also by the key players in the Scottish SME marketplace making up an audience of between 400 and 500 people.

This year seven awards will be presented on Wednesday 7th November at Prestonfield, Edinburgh.

The awards catagories are as follows:

Most Focused e250 Business
